My fiancé and I adopted a rabbit named Ted from them in May and the process was quick, amazing, and easy! I recommend Amy as she was so helpful through the entire process and made it a breeze. Ted is the calmest, most sociable rabbit ever who just loves his pets. We’d also like to thank his foster dad as of how much work he clearly put in. The drive was far, but worth every penny.
I adopted a German Shepherd from DuPage Animal Shelter. I was impressed with their due diligence in the background process and medical care. They even requested that my Wife and our dog Apollo come out for a meet and greet with our new dog, Bella. Through the shelter Bella has found a new home and good health. She has become a great addition to Our Family. Side note, the adoption fee was beyond reasonable, so if you have the means please donate extra. I did, it was a small price to pay for the happiness that. Bella has brought to our home.
This place is amazing! They really do care for each animal in their care. The staff and volunteers are always friendly and knowledgeable. We've fostered then adopted 2 awesome dogs in the last year! We love DCAS!
Today is 1 year ago we adopted Hospice Caoline now known as Rosie. She is spoiled rotten and living like a queen. She loves her lake house and taking naps with mom.
I adopted my puppy from here last September and my adoption experience was phenomenal. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful while the adoption process was smooth and easy. And I can't believe how much supplies they gave us! I truly appreciate it considering he is our first dog and had nothing waiting at home for him. From now on I will be donating anything we don't use because I now see how much they are absolutely needed! Thank you so much everyone at Dupage County Animal Services!
Applied for a dog & got all the paperwork in online. Even called and confirmed the dog we wanted. The shelter was closing soon, so we had to wait until Monday to pick up the dog. On Monday we got a notification that the dog was adopted? They never put a hold on the dog so now I have to return the $400 I spent preparing for this dog and my heart is broken. Terrible experience
They really care about the pets. We did a zoom meeting with a bunny and they answered every question. I liked that they actually KNEW the bunny and not just read me his file like the other shelters I called. They encourage not using cages and proper nutrition. I learned so much from them! They were able to tell me if he would be a good fit for us and so far he really is! We drove 2 hours to adopt Buzz, and he is the most loving wonderful 4 year old bunny. Adopting is so much better than buying from a pet store for more than 1 reason. But for us, being neutered (can cost over $200!) and being told if he was a good fit for us was priceless. We are so thankful to the volunteers at Dupage Country Animal Services. In the future, when the time comes, we will be adopting another bunny from them.
We truly owe a debt of gratitude from our family to the DuPage County Animal Shelter for helping our family through a tough time and saving our cat, Cookie! We were blessed to get the support of a vet who did something wonderful to save her life. Please consider donating to them and keeping them flourishing as they truly do a wonderful service to our community that we may not realize from time to time...so many of us love our pets and there are many animals out there that are benefiting from the support services provided by them. They are truly caring about what they do. Thank you so much for what you did for our family.
